Things I have learnt along the way

- Never trust fancy job ads that say that you can go surf often ( it´s a lie )

- Always write stuff that is important such as prize money ( like on the job contract )

- Check the team that you are going to work with ( avoid noobs, always be the worst guy in every band you’re in, like Chad Fowler says on the Passionate Programmer book )

- If a company doesn´t have resident workers it´s bad ( people go away after few time )

- Check the source code ( if ( code_style == 'spaguetti' ) runAway()  )

- Check the company culture and the onboarding process ( if any.. )

- Avoid startups ( with very few money, no processes defined and no business model.. )

- Look for remote work possibilities ( instead of games and go surf often.. )

- Always ask for your salary receipt ( the company may trick by not paying all that is due, or mark you as not present some days, when you did work.. )
